Universal standards beauty applied to women

Beauty standards are universal across cultures. People all over the world have similar viewpoint on the facial beauty of Asian, Hispanic, black, and white ladies. Even natives unexposed to mass media agree with the rest of the globe.

Infants gaze much longer and show more delight when watching photographs of attractive male and female faces. One-year-olds play much longer with facially good-looking dolls than with unattractive dolls.

Beauty standards are believed to determine woman's health: a clean, smooth skin; full, shiny hair; full lips; bright eyes; and symmetrical facial features.
